Rebecca Long

tLMFT

Rebecca Long is a temporary licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (t-LMFT). During her thirteen years as an elementary school teacher, she grew an awareness of the many systemic factors that affect people’s lives. She later completed her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount Mercy University, hoping to make a different kind of impact on the lives of her community. She is trained in the EFIT approach to individual therapy, the EFT approach to couples therapy, and has advanced training in trauma treatment. Rebecca works with teens age 15+ and adults of all ages. She has experience working with complex mental disorders including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and Schizophrenia. She also offers Discernment Counseling for couples.

Clinical interests include marginalized populations, Bipolar Disorder and emotional abuse. While Rebecca’s approach to therapy is primarily attachment-based with somatic awareness, she adapts her practice using a range of research-based approaches to meet each client’s needs.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, design, time with family, travel and collecting houseplants.
